• Page names should be short and to the point. Shoot for page names between 2-3 words, but be specific. For example, if you make a page for "dog grooming," you should name it "Dog Grooming," instead of just "Grooming." This will help people who are looking for the topic "dog grooming" find your site on the web.

• Keep page names direct, clear, and concise—you want visitors to know at a glance what you’re page is about. Keep the crafty text for lower down the page, rather than in the actual page name. For example, on an iPhone site, titling a page "A Match Made in Heaven" won't do as well as "iPhone Features".
  

• Page names automatically show up in in Search Engines, bookmarks, Wetpaint freshcoats and other places across the Web. That's why it is especially important your page name will make sense even out of the context of your own site.

• Avoid overly long page names: If they wrap to three or more times in the navigation bar, consider shortening them to two lines, at most.
