How do I manage blank lines between paragraphs?
Nov 5 2007, 4:50 PM EST The style guide says "Put a line space between each paragraph." But how can I do this consistently? Sometimes blank lines display in the editor but disappear in the page display, and sometimes the opposite happens! Is there a method for entering blank lines that displays correctly in both the editor and the page? 6 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

Nov 5 2007, 7:17 PM EST Sometimes it makes a difference if you make a carriage return from the end of the last line instead of from the beginning of the next blank line. Different browsers can give different results. In a pinch you can also add a small table with no borders to serve as a placeholder. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

The backround on my page is black so when I want to create a space I just switch the color of the text to black and just type periods or dashes where I want it to be blank. When you finish and save, it doesnt show the black and it is just blank. Rich. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 19 2007, 2:32 PM EST Try stripping out all formatting by copying the text to Notepad and then copy it back to your site and reformat it. There may be some kind of hidden style or formatting code affecting the text. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
