Problems With Imeem
Oct 30 2007, 4:05 PM EDT | Post edited: Oct 30 2007, 4:05 PM EDT
My Linux/Firefox browser will not work for uploading files at all on Imeem. I have NOT had any problems on other media storage websites.
Is there an alternative for storing .mp3 files then playing them on a wetpaint page?

They posted in the the right place to ask a question. If everyone who needed help messaged the Wetpaint staff, they'd be overwhelmed! That's what this page is for.

Does anyone know of a wetpaint wiki who uses radioblogclub.com embedded player? Do you find this valuable?

I dont know of any examples off hand, but that embed player tends to work with Wetpaint sites. You can also try Odeo. These are both compatible with Wetpaint.

After playing with it I discovered that it is possible to get radioblogclub players to work.
1. Select the Blog radio button.
2. Use the Ocebo skin for the player. The Default skin doesn't appear to have the proper Flash settings to allow the playlist portion to show.
3. Make sure that you check the box for "Click here if your platform doesn't support Javascript."
4. Copy the code and paste it into the Other Widget in Wetpaint.

Works great. I'm listening to some music right now.

I discovered that radioblogclub.com does not provide a way to UPLOAD my mp3's!
Therefore it does not solve my problem. If only Imeem would work...
I suspect its my flash version on linux causing the problem. Uploading seems to work on imeem until the final step where you save your uploaded songs. Thats when my Browser just "hangs". Working with flash based websites with a Linux PC stinks!!! I may have to fall back to getting a windoze box unless the Linux distributions get their acts together...@#$%^ Thanks for trying.
