i think you should be able to add an atachment on your profile 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I also think this is a good idea. A work around would be to store and publish the attachment as a Google Doc (.doc) then put a link to it within your Profile. Using as many attachments as needed for a page (like photos) without the current space restrictions would also be great. Do you find this valuable?
