problem with a cancelled membership

I have a private wiki and a person i invited joined, but then cancelled her membership and now she cannot re-join because wetpaint tells her that her e-mail is already being used (by the username that is already cancelled). how can she re-join without having to use a different e-mail? 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Send her a new invitation. When she accepts the invitation, she has to be sure to sign in with her existing account. Her account may be canceled, but it's not deleted. She doesn't have to create a new account. Do you find this valuable?

That is a good plan but my issue is a bit different. The new member signed in with a typo (very odd spelling) of his name . So once we discovered the typo he could finish the registration. BUT .. the typo username is a bummer so i suggested cancel the membership and take a re-invite. Will it take the new re-invite with the corrected username spelling and the old email address? or will it kick back because the old email address is already allocated to the now canceled username? Do you find this valuable?

I see the problem. Have that person do the following:
1. Join any other wiki with the account that they canceled on your wiki.
2. Change the email address to something bogus or to another email address that they use.
3. Log out.
4. Accept the invitation to your wiki and create a new user witht heir good email address.
