How about TiddlyWiki

I would love to be able to take my content on the run, and work on it without internet access.
I think the import/export tools of TiddlyWiki (http://www.tiddlywiki.com) would be great, because the ability to sync only the things you would want to post publicly is already built in.

That sounds cool, but not so sure if the demand of people using tiddlywiki to wetpaint is great.
I used tiddlywiki a long time ago before, but i didn't really find it usefull for online use, but its great for notes offline.
Do you find this valuable?

Yes! Being able to work offline as well as online is the next frontier for hosted wikis, and web apps generally. SocialText already uses tiddlywiki capabiliy for this. You can save the last fifty wiki edits for working offline. Then it's easy to sync your work when you're back online. Wetpaint should do this too. Another possibilty is to become compatible with Google Gears, which is set to make all Google apps (including docs and calendar) usable offline. Once this is out of beta, any web app that can't be used offline will start to lag behind in terms of popularity. So Wetpaint should develop offline capability asap. Do you find this valuable?
