RE: Help - Can't change my email
May 19 2008, 8:25 AM EDT I can't get my email account changed either. I access the Change Email Address by following the My Profile link on the left of the toolbar and then the Profile link. When I put my Yahoo email address in both the Email Address and Retype Email Address boxes and hit Save Updates, the screen changes and shows only a single link which says Sign In, but that link goes nowhere. I've tried logging out after this as well as going directly back to look at my Change Email Address again and the address is unchanged. I have tried this in both Firefox and Internet Explorer with the same results. I even changed it yesterday and came back today to see if it needed more time and still it was unchanged. Please help. Thanks. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 19 2008, 4:11 PM EDT "I am having the exact same issue. And I am not getting my email alerts either. "You should be able to access your profile by signing in, clicking on "My Profile" > "Profile". Once you are viewing your profile page there will be an option to change your email address or edit your email notification settings. If you are still having trouble you should tell us what your username is and what type of browser you are using. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 19 2008, 4:21 PM EDT Update: We discovered that there is a bug that is currently preventing changes to account information (email address, notification settings, etc). We will try to get a fix for this pushed out as soon as we can this week. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Help - Can't change my email
Oct 2 2008, 9:23 AM EDT I hope this bug will work out - I want to change my e-mail address also, and get the message "address already taken", even though I don't have any account with that address. Also, same problems as others have reported - would like to be able to delete invitations (having sent more than one to the same person), and also I invited people who didn't understand the "user name" concept and just chose their last name, whereas they would like to change it to something more fun. Over all, Wet Paint is really easy to use though, and fast. Thanks for the effort! Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Help - Can't change my email
Oct 2 2008, 11:09 AM EDT Hi G.C., The address already taken message only appears if you are trying to create a whole new account and you enter an email address that has already been used on an account. If you just want to change your email address on your existing account, then that's a different process. The instructions are here: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Change+Email%2FPassword Do you find this valuable? |
