To create a new username just make sure you are signed out of your existing account and then click on the "Join this Wiki" button in the upper right corner of the screen. You'll then see an option to create a new account. 0  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

But you can't create another account w/ the same email address. I only have on email address & it's the one I want to use. When I try to do it again, it says "email address already taken" so how do I delete that original account? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

If you change the email address of the original acount to something else, you can create a new account using your real email address. 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

"If you change the email address of the original acount to something else, you can create a new account using your real email address."
If a user on my wiki wants to change username then, as I understand it, the first action is to change his e-mail address (in both boxes) in order to create a dummy account. So, 'sign-in'/'my profile'/'profile'/manage account/change e-mail to dummy e-mail in both boxes.

Then, how does he create a new account using old e-mail address? Does he wait to be invited? Does he go to the wiki using the URL? How does he get back into the wiki that he was first invited to with a changed username? ie. what does he do after changing e-mail on his account through existing wiki?

Well you cannot make a new user name but you can make a new profile period by going to www.wetpaint.com and make your self another user name and password. Let me make you a link type in this : http://www.wetpaint.com/wiki/fun go through the steps and then it should tell you to create a user name and password ok. Do you find this valuable?

If the site is private he will need a new invite. Otherwise, just go to the site and click on "Join This Wiki" to register a new account.

OK - thank you for that.

So - before trying this on my wiki-user for real, I tried it on an alternate separate e-mail address of my own that I control (by way of a test). I invited this alternate e-mail address to join the wiki. Initially, upon accepting the invitation it thought it was still me (as in my original username). After accepting a couple of times I eventually got the option to join as a genuine new member. I presume that it was just a matter of time to clear the system. Then I changed my e-mail to create a dummy account so that I could re-invite the second e-mail addressee and test changing username. However, I have not been able to progress any further. Every time I accept the new invitation to join the wiki recognises me as the original creator by username and does not give me the option to sign up with a new username and thus create a new profile. When I selected the otion to sign out because it was not me ... it came up as a bug.

So, I have liitle confidence that this procedure works, and cannot pass it on to wiki members, unless you can tell me otherwise.

Kind regards.
