Simultaneous editing

Is is possible for two users to edit (or move, rename, etc.) a page simultaneously, or is there some built-in safeguard against this happening?
If it can happen, what is the result? Is one user's work lost?
Sorry if this question is answered elsewhere - I can't seem to find it.

Yes, the site will give you an option to merge changes. Try opening and editing the same page in two browser windows and you can see how it works.
