Please provide a way to view pages described by multiple tags
Jun 16 2007, 9:43 AM EDT At the moment, you can view those pages in the wiki that have a particular tag via http://.../tag/MyTag but there is no way to view those pages that have two or more particular tags. For example, my wiki (www.99sauces.com) describes cafes which are tagged both "lunch" and "italian", and I'd like to be able to use tags to find the cafes that serve Italian food for lunch, rather than only those cafes that serve lunch or those cafes that serve Italian. This is possible in other sites that use tags, for instance Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=all&q=italy+lunch&m=tags - and Del.Icio.Us - http://del.icio.us/tag/italy+lunch Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 16 2007, 1:30 PM EDT I typed Italian lunch into the search field and got six pages. Not all of them were taged lunch, but it found them. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Please provide a way to view pages described by multiple tags
Jun 17 2007, 3:12 AM EDT The search function finds pages that use those keywords anywhere on the page. This means you can get false positives, e.g. if the page contains the phrase "I saw an Italian eating there", or even "they no longer serve lunch". If you could search just the tags, you won't get this problem. Isn't that one of the benefits of using keyword tags rather than a free text search? Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Please provide a way to view pages described by multiple tags
Jun 17 2007, 6:06 PM EDT Thanks for the suggestion. At least, at this time, you won't be missing any results and it's easy enough to see if the page has all of the tags when viewing the search results. Do you find this valuable? |
