How do I create boxes or draw lines on the page? I want to create a box then give it a background color. Is that possible? I've used widgets to import a feed but would like the feed to appear in a box with a different back ground color. I've seen this done on other sites but don't see any way to implement it? Do you find this valuable?

You could create a colored box in MS Paint or other image editing application and then add the image to your page as a PNG, JPG, or GIF. Do you find this valuable?

I want to be able to put editable type in the box. Importing images won't work. For RSS feeds I could probably import a widget in the colors/design I want with the feed already in it, but for a custom template with a layout that has more interesting and visual elements, the editing tools needs A LOT MORE functionality. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks for clarifying. Another way you might be able to do what you're saying is to add it as HTML code in an IFRAME widget. Paintchip posted some useful information on how you can use this approach here:
