Want a Successful Wiki Website? Then know this...

Getting a website "up and running right" takes some good planning, time investment, deligence on follow through, and lots of patience! I highly recommend new wiki owners review EVERY page posted on this front page of Wetpaint Central - under the title headings of "Help & FAQs" and "Wetpaint Community". Yes - every single one of them! By reading ahead of time, you'll have a clearer understanding about:

-- the suite of services Wetpaint offers
-- how this wiki software program works and the capabilities it has
-- choosing content, recruiting members, maintaining your site
-- and how to market yourself so people will see what you are offering online

By educating yourself before launching your site you'll also save yourself a ton of headaches as you learn about building and maintaining your wiki. I realize this upfront investment of time and energy isn't the "Quick & Easy" way to get your site posted online. However, it is the SMARTEST and the BEST way to realize the end result of a collaboration in great information sharing on your wiki!

Successful wiki's, popular wiki's, active wiki's - don't just happen over night. It takes a bit of work and time to gain active members, popularity in the search engines and on the World Wide Web, and to realize success in collaborating on your wiki subject matter.
