One question...

What would make a site stand out, & how would you check them all? 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Unique content always helps. That's a tough question; there's not really any one right answer. Do you find this valuable?

So, the matter of judging is based upon that statement?

I'm having a little trouble answering your question because it is a little vague. It depends on what you mean by "stand out".

If you are asking how you can make your site easier for people to find I would recommend reading through the Search Engine Optimization Guide: http://wetpaintcentral.wetpaint.com/page/Search+Engine+Optimization

If you are asking how to make your site stand out from a design standpoint, try looking through the Editing Guide: http://wetpaintcentral.wetpaint.com/page/Editing+Guide

Hope this helps!

Quite funny, because when you search for it, it randomly comes up with the site! XD

And what I meant by "stand out" was eg if you could look at about 5 sites, side by side, you would automtaically pick one the best one... why would that one win? What makes you choose it? What makes it "the best"?

agree with him...

who's doing the judging?

how about releasing a comparative excel-type description of, say the top 5 selected sites, compare them according to:

owner's total post
contributors' total post
contributor with highest number of post
site rank or page rank (if possible)
number of pages
total words used
total images used
total videos used
total widgets used

then the hardest part is:
visual comparison of the top 5 or top what ever numbers selected
possibility of screenshots of the start-up page or
how about top pages selected that are visually aesthetic

How do you advertise your wiki on the internet? Do you find this valuable?
