Delete Version
Apr 27 2007, 3:57 PM EDT
Once a version is deleted, why will it remain in the history where no content can be viewed? It a version is deleted why shouldn't it be permenately deleted? When I delete something I expect that all remenance will disappear... Come on now! Is there some bugs that wetpaint is trying to work out or what?

No, not a bug. When you have a wiki site, you may have more than one person that can delete page versions. It's important to have some record of what was deleted by who and when.

If I delete the current version, can I then also delete the previous version? In other words, can I restore a version that has been revised twice?

"It's important to have some record of what was deleted by who and when."But the site creator (& anyone the site creator gives permissions to) SHOULD be able to fully delete ANYTHING...page versions, moved page history, anything...it's great to have logs of vandalism, but the site owner should have FULL control, without deleting stuff in the database (or wherever this stores its info)... "1 minute ago"Recent posts saying "1 minute ago" is annoying, possibly useful, but the full date needs displayed somewhere on EVERY POST... Also note the automatic title of this reply is "RE: Re: Delete ANYTHING"...1st of all it doubled the Re, 2nd it keeps capitalizing it like "RE", which looks stupid, I proper-cased my 1st reply, but left this one messed up to show the bug... The "Quote" textarea need displayed ABOVE the "Message" textarea & you need to be able to add more than 1 quote... Do you find this valuable? |

"...without deleting stuff in the database..."I mean without the site owner having to manually delete stuff in the database...but when you delete inside wetpaint, it SHOULD actually delete it from the db... Also note I can't EDIT a reply... Do you find this valuable? |
