"I would like to be able to set " Who should be able to post comments?" to "Only people I invite" . I believe a lot of other people would like this feature also."That part is not available yet though! You can Make it so that anyone, or anyone with a wetpaint account can post a comment, not people i invite! I hope so soon too! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I see that this is second on the upcoming features list. Can someone from wetpaint tell us what the plan on this is and when it is going to be implemented?

Sir is there any function to set a password to the page? because i need to set password so that others people can not view my photo page without password. Even the person doesnt have account in wetpaint also cannot view my photo page. Sir i would suggest this function to be set during adding page. I hope sir could provide this function for privacy purpose. Thanks.

Private or password protected pages are not available at this time, but we are currently working on developing an option that will allow users to have private sites.

Does this mean we will have the option for the public to view the site and at the same time control who registers for commenting?

"Does this mean we will have the option for the public to view the site and at the same time control who registers for commenting? "Permissions settings for comments is already a seperate featureset. Currently, Wetpaint has permissions settings that allow anyone to comment (even anonymously), or only if you are signed in as a registered user. The site creator, administrator, or moderators have the ability to move or delete comments that are misplaced or inappropriate. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Why can't we decide who becomes a member of our site. Register users of wetpaint in general can post comments on our site whether we like it or not. Of course we can ban them or delete their posts but that is after the fact.

Private sites will be available with our next release. If you want to utilize this feature then only invited users will be able to view the site, edit, or comment.

"Will the public be able to view the site while the site owner be able to control who posts or comments?"With a site set to "private" only those that have been invited to the site will be able to view, edit, or comment on the site. The private site feature is a site setting and not a user setting. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

No, if you have your site set to private the entire site will be inaccessible. All pages will be viewable on normal sites.

"If you can support the infrastructure, people would pay for this, including me and my organization. WetPaint has such a GREAT interface for collaboration - it's a shame it can't be used more extensively for more "sensitive" information. If you build it, they will come (and pay)!"If you could create a user that does not have the ability to invite people to join the site that would allow for a safe environment to display sensitive information. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
