Sounds like your browser doesn't have JavaScript enabled. See response to your first post. Do you find this valuable?

Jeremy I checked my browser settings and yes I have JavaScript enabled. This sign-on difficulty seems to be occurring approx two thirds of the time - the rest of the time I can get on fine and access all features. Closing the browser and reopening sometimes has helped, but not all the time. One of my registered users also reported difficulties signing up. Sorry to take so long to reply but I had to wait till I could get back on. Any other ideas?

Here's some more info that might help working through this bug. I get a similar situation here. I find that if I use the "sign-in" option on most any page EXCEPT the wetpaint front page I can log in without issue. But the one on the main wetpaint page rarely, will even launch for me... so I just avoid logging in from that page. Do you find this valuable?

Can you tell us what browser you're using and what version it is? Do you find this valuable?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and I assume it's the latest version as I regularly download updates.

We haven't been able to reproduce any problems getting signed in or using the features on your site. Has anything changed from when you last were able to do these things? Are you using a different Internet connection, or computer, etc.? Are you accessing Wetpaint from behind a firewall? Do you find this valuable?

No I'm not using a different PC although when I use my work PC to access the site I haven't had any problems so far. I use my home PC (Dell 1GB Ram, 40 GB HD) to create the wiki. We don't have firewalls, only AVG as viruschecker. We haven't changed our ISP. I have noticed that even when I access the site I can still move from page to page and I can still activate the 'invite others' link, and look at the RSS links etc ie the left hand sidebar is still functional. I just can't edit, add, comment or any of the other such functions. I have also noticed that once or twice when I have clicked refresh button it has seemed to 'unfreeze' the site, and once when it was frozen, there was an error message that the connection had timed out - when I clicked the "try Again" button it unfroze.
