Removing the Google ads
Feb 16 2007, 4:49 AM EST | Post edited: Feb 16 2007, 4:49 AM EST
I saw some wetpaint sites (like the CSI wiki) which has no google adds on the left side. Is there a way to remove these ads from my wiki site?
I am willing to pay some monthly fee for removing these ads.

Thanks!

The CSI Wiki and a handful of other high profile sites do not have Google Adsense ads on them due to a contractual agreements we have arranged with partners such as CBS. These sites do have advertising on them, but they may have a different format than most Wetpaint sites. At this time, Wetpaint does not have the infrastructure set up to run a subscription based system for our users to pay for ad free sites, but this may be something we implement in the future. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. I would also be willing to pay for an adds free subscription. I hope you all can get it together one of these days. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

At this time we do not have any plans to offer a paid version of Wetpaint with special features, but thanks for your feedback.

I think Wetpaint is better with the ads... Getting it for free is worth having ads on them ... Especially with the New Features be get so often!

Obviously the ads are what float this boat and I can appreciate that. But for those that want to rid their site of various clutter or features it would be nice to be able to pay a small monthly fee to clean these ads off the site. Do you find this valuable?
