Animated pictures
Dec 2 2011, 2:55 PM EST | Post edited: Dec 2 2011, 2:55 PM EST
I uploaded a few animated pictures and they doesn't work on the wikis. I would like to know why my pictures are no longer animated once uploaded on the pages of the wikis. I use usually the supported browsers by the wikis and they are files "GIF". What a damage...Thank you by advance. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Are you resizing the images at all? The animation won't display properly on Wetpaint if the size of the image is changed at all. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

No, they are displayed in their original size. I think it's a problem with the number of images of the photo : when I upload a GIF photo composed of more than three images, it doesn't work. The four first photos work correctly now, the fifth is composed of four images and doesn't work... 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Your issue may be the size of the gif itself. Wetpaint will resize the gif if the file exceeds 500k. This will cause the gif to lose its animation. For more information on working with animated gifs, I invite you to visit these pages on my wiki, Splats2.
