My site is Foreclosure Makeover Company. fmcalabamacontractor.wetpaint.com --- Google recently kicked off their Go Mo campaign here in Mobile, Alabama, providing business owners a chance to be seen on Googles mobile site. This is all I am trying to accomplish; to link my wetpaint site with the Google mobile service. I have no idea what the other posts redirect concern. I just want to get my little construction company site up and linked or redirected [when people see my name on Google mobile]. I can sign into my site, make changes, etc., and post here anonymously [which is not my intent], however when I sign in here is when I get the "not authorized" message. What is up with that? I would really like to get this straight before I lose my Google position. Please email at the email address listed on my site, if possible. Thanks, Kenny McGee FMC Mobile.

Wetpaint has been attacked by many spam advertisers. Your login may have been caught up in the banning process. That has been corrected. You should be able to login to Wetpaint Central now.As far as Google Mobile, we will have to do more research as to the process of linking your wiki to the Google Mobile site. Check back on this thread for more information.. Do you find this valuable? |

Mappings are restricted to sub-domain level only, such as www.example.com, wiki.example.com, or support.example.com. You can't map your domain to what is known as a naked domain, such as http://mysite.wetpaint.com.This would mean you would have to create an account with a Domain Service provider such as Godaddy or Dotster and selecting a custom domain name (alias). These services are inexpensive. Once a custom domain name is created then that www.yoursite.com address must be submitted to Wetpaint via your Wetpaint wiki under the Settings link at the top of any page of your wiki. On the Site Settings page, there is a tab that reads "Updates". Click on that link and it will bring you to another page. When on the updates settings page, click on "Custom Web Address" link. From there you can enter the custom url address received from the Doman Service provider. Follow the rest of the instructions on that following steps on that page. After the process is complete with changing the Cname part of your wiki, when the http://yoursitename.wetpaint.com will be directed to the http://www.yoursitename.com provided by your domain service. Caution, when using custom domains. There are two situations that can render you wiki inaccessible. 1. The custom domain name service has to be renewed before its expiration date. If the domain name expires, you will not be able to access your Wetpaint wiki. 2. The Cname on your wiki will have to be changed if you decide to drop the custom domain name or you will not be able to access your wiki. See this page for more information on Custom Domain URLs. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Custom+URLs Do you find this valuable? |
