Fixed-Width Format on NGOG Parliament Home

Greetings, WP Staff!Could one of the techno-savvy staff members on Wetpaint Central please adjust the format of the NGOG Parliament Home to a "fixed-width" setting? I'm not entirely sure who I should contact to implement these modifications. We're in the process of revising our main website (Noble Guardians of Ga 'Hoole) and consequently we need to make sure that the pages on our mod-friendly site have the same format for us to transfer templates and the like. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know! Here is the link to the NGOG PH homepage: http://ngogparliament.wetpaint.com/ Thank you! -Grand_Tybiss 1 out of 2 found this valuable. To have a fixed width format placed on your wiki, will require change to coding of that wiki. Contact Jeremy_wetpaint. Ask him to change the format for you.Keep in mind he is quite busy. It may take some time before he can get to it. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Excuse me, but I sent a message to Jeremy concerning our little dilemma over two weeks ago and I have not been accorded a response. Yet I find that he is answering other threads with seemingly minor issues on Wetpaint Central. Am I missing something here? This is a very simple request that I would like to be resolved as soon as possible. You have to realize that I am concerned for the welfare of other sites besides NGOG, but since this inquiry preceded the others it should have been considered a first priority. I am willing to do anything in my power to help, but could you please give me some feedback now and then?

Hi Grand,You need to be redminded that CryingDove DID say Jeremy's very busy. He only has a few minutes one day a week to get on and check for any problems people are having because his responsibilities have been expanded to a lot more than just checking up on us. I think Rich forgot that Jeremy is to no longer be contacted via: jeremy_wetpaint. I will email Jeremy and ask him to make some time in his schedule from the rest of the things he has to do. Making a site fixed-width can take a long time to do, and if you have a bunch of other things to do, it isn't easy to complete this task. He will get to it when he can find time. Just be a little more patient on him. He's the only connection we have left to Wetpaint representation. -Clay 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thanks for helping out, Naru! Your assistance is truly appreciated. :) It has been over one month since I made this request, however, so I do hope Jeremy has at least considered my inquiry. I sent a couple of PMs to Jeremy last month, but so far I have received no feeback. Do you have any suggestions on how I can contact him? If there is anything I can do to speed up the editing process, please let me know! ^^Best regards, Grand 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hi Grand,I hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially with this being over a month ago, but Jeremy's duties have expanded a lot more, and he hardly has time to come on anymore. The developers have been forbidden to come on or even think about the wiki platform by Ben Elowitz (CEO), and much more have changed in this little time span. Since everything has changed, Jeremy can no longer perform those special request that he used to, such as Fixed-Width Format, or Custom Navigation. I wouldn't expect him to fulfill this request Grand. -Clay 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Mmmm..so are you saying that Jeremy has abandoned us? Or are you saying Jeremy just has less duty time here now? What happened to the promise that they will keep up maintence for us?"Hey Bells, No, Jeremy hasn't abandoned us. Since he is not on the Development team, he can still come on, and does. When we have bugs, one of us Mods will report it to Jeremy and he will get to it. As for giving us maintenance, what I posted sums it up, but want to emphasize that we will be given support still. Wetpaint is still keeping it's promise of keeping us up and running. We still get fixes for bugs. (Like the ad problem ad-free sites had last week.) I am assuming this is the ONLY time the Developer's ban from the platform is lifted; When we are having global problems like the ads on ad-free sites, because they would be losing customers paying for ad-free sites, or if we go under maintenance due to lack of disk space, and we need to get out of read-only mode. -Clay 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
