I would like to help a friend...

I recently joined a friend in its wiki on books and I would like to help him to promote its wiki but... I've read your pages about this topic, he has followed more or less your advices but today, we are only 40 members, he needs help there and , to help him, I search blogs or forums on lovers of books to promote the wiki there. Can you help me in giving us a few tracks? I thank you a lot, I don't know how to do otherwise...Keziah. Do you find this valuable? |

Well, there are several things you can do:1.) Use Google and add your site using this URL: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl 2.) Tell your friends. and Have your friends tell their friends. If any members on your wiki aren't your friends, tell them to tell their friends as well. 3.) Contact a popular site and ask them if you could possibly add an ad on their site to promote yours. It may take a while, but these three things can help. -Clay Do you find this valuable? |

Chances are, they'll invite their friends with the same passion as you, and then they'll invite their friends, etc.. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Invite+Friends * Exchange links with simular sites. If you have a passion, others share it. It’s the essence of Wetpaint Wikis. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Link+and+Banner+Exchanges * Build better page names and descriptions. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Naming+Pages --and/or-- http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Page+Description * Link your own content. I mean internally link it. Once a new, interested person on your site see's one great page, chances are they are going to want to see similar pages. That's the beauty of linking http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Internal+Links * Use social media tools like Facebook, Myspace, or Twitter to spread the word about your new site http://www.facebook.com --and/or-- http://www.myspace.com --and/or-- http://www.twitter.com *Get a good, easy to remember URL. Don't forget about tags. They are important in searches. Here is a good example of tags on a page.
