Help please. D:

As you see on my site: http://vagueretrospectrp.wetpaint.com/ that the image is tiny. Very tiny.. Now, I read over the comments, and replies and all such and such. I don't know much about computer and image designing, and I certainly did not under a single word of the thread 'Header Help" by Kiinan. Now, I did pick up on the size it needed to be and other things? Well, I noticed that Everywhere I got, they have different sized banners. So I didn't really get the gist of having it a certain dimension. I also made my image from GIMP. The Dimensions are 778-365. http://oi53.tinypic.com/ab41th.jpg Now, I just want to know how to make a banner that isn't small, hiding in the left hand side of my site.. I also was wondering if I could resize it in Picnik, though it doesn't really do exact dimensions, you can pick the Width, or Height, and it evens out the opposite. I don't know. HELP ME PLEASE. The banner is dependent upon the wiki style chosen. So its size can vary, But if you would like your banner to cover the whole screen width, make the measurement 1000 width X 190 height. This way WP will not resize it. (Note: if you start with a small image and try to resize it to a much larger size, it is going to stretch the image so it looks really distorted.)Start with an image with a close proximity to what the end image size is going end up being. Banners are always left justified. To center a banner a graphics program is needed to add space to the left of the image and saved as a gif, jpeg or png file. Then uploaded as a logo image. A community member Bellswebster suggests using this site to resize their photo images http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ Its free if you do the photos 1 at a time. Do you find this valuable? |
