Websites and website domains

So I have a question. The owner of a wetpaint website got a domain name for the website (which previously was a ".wetpaint.com" website) as a gift, and the domain name expired. This website is quite extensive and we the website team would like to preserve all the information from it and like to keep it as is... is there any way that we could transfer this website back to ".wetpaint.com" so it can remain in existence?The website is bookshelffantastica.com, which we want to transfer back into bookshelffantastica.wetpaint.com. Please reply back A.S.A.P.! This website has over 3 years of work into it, and we don't want it lost! Do you find this valuable? |

If the domain address was not changed back to the original Wetpaint address BEFORE the expiration of the domain name, then the wiki cannot be accessed at all. As you probably aware of at this point.You need to contact jeremy_wetpaint to have him go to the server side and make the changes to the cname for you. He or any other Wetpaint personnel, are the only one's that can help in this matter. Your wiki is not lost. It is still there. It simply doesn't have an address to it at this point in time. I just sent a message to Jeremy_wetpaint... now to see if he will do something. Thank you for all your help! It would be a shame to have so much work lost over a domain name expiring.

We have fixed the problem. It randomly reverted to bookshelffantastica.com. We are looking into making sure we have the domain name, of course, so it doesn't expire again. I have also sent a message to all mods - sorry, wasn't aware of this thread - asking not to change anything. Thanks!

The problem is not fixed yet, the domain name is indeed expired and now we can't even access the website anymore. I've contacted Jeremy twice and he's not answering! Is there anyone that I could contact that could answer immediately? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

I would like to get this squared away as soon as possible!Jeremy, our ONLY link to Wetpaint, does not work on weekends. The corrective action must be done on the server side. He is the only one to can aid you in this forum. Six of the Wetpaint moderators listed, do not work for Wetpaint anymore. That leaves only Jeremy to handle all of the server side issues, to which there have been many in the recent months. From experience, I can say, that Jeremy will respond to issues (remember, there are many) as he starts clearing out his to-do list. Again, be patient. Do you find this valuable? |

OH MY GOSH. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP... BOOKSHELFFANTASTICA IS BACK. I PRACTICALLY CRIED WHEN I SAW IT POP UP ON MY SCREEN. THANK YOU JEREMY_WETPAINT AND CRYINGDOVE FOR HELPING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU BOTH ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!!
