The Maintenance

Guys, as you know, Wetpaint was down for almost 3 full days. The reason was they ran out of disk space again. They tried a fix for it Tuesday, but it failed. They tried a new one yesterday, and finally Wetpaint's back up. There shouldn't be anymore down time for Maintenance,This should answer anyone's questions. Please do not post threads about this. I'll admit something..I was so bored..I stalked Wetpaint every 5 minutes both times the fixes were applied. :$ 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

same, even in read-only all wetpaint sites would crash every like 5 minutes XD started getting like emails from people asking whats going on XD I was like "dont worry its just casual maintenance usually lasts like a day at the most lol" 3 days later im a total zombie from checking every hour for the maintenance to be done XD

lol. xPI don't really have people's emails, so i can't really email them telling them what's going on, but I always post on Wetpaint's Facebook and look for posts from users on there. :P So I guess i'm lucky in a sense of not getting all those emails. Do you find this valuable? |

Haha, I just sat at my computer all day, refreshing the page every few minutes. Everyone I could contact outside of wetpaint were groaning and moaning, me included x3~silver Do you find this valuable? |

What happened: Over the weekend the master database server experienced some corruption problems which required putting all wikis in a "read-only" mode. We implemented a backup/restore procedure which required replicating all data to all of our database slave servers. Due to the amount of data, and some snags along the way, the process took quite some time to complete successfully. We were able to switch wikis back into normal read/write functionality as of last night.We apologize for any inconveniences this down time has caused and appreciate everyone's patience while we were working to fix it. Also, we are taking additional steps to avoid having this happen again in the future. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

There's something wrong with my site, I thought it may have had to do with the Maintance. When you try to edit it's homepage, it says something along the line of ''An error has occured. If this problem persists, reload the page and try agian'' Well, I've reloaded the page a few times, and it still dosen't work. It worked before the matinace. -- I also was literally watching the computers for hours at a time, refreshing the page. Haha I was so bored -_- Do you find this valuable? |

"Oops, didn't realize I posted Anonymously^^Try clearing your cache and cookies. This will eliminate old data left in cache. It should be a good practice when Wetpaint goes into a maintenance mode, to clear cookies and cache before editing your site when WP comes back on line. Do you find this valuable? |
