Invitations are not being sent

I am moderator of an invite required site. When I send out an invite, i do not get the CAPTCHA box appear (which I think is OK for moderator level users?) however no email is received. I ahve triend quite a few addresses, most without firewalls, and they are not ending up in spam/junk folders.what is strange is taht i have sent out some previously which worked OK - this may have been when at "writer" status before moderator. Doesn;t look like I'm the first to be having trouble with invites either.... Do you find this valuable? |

Invites were removed from private sites in 2009, simply for something along the lines of 'Wetpaint found it very difficult to process.' I'm not too sure myself. But invites were removed, so for someone to join a private site, I'm afraid you need to make it public, let them join, then make it private again.-Cameron Do you find this valuable? |

Not sure if im misunderstanding something - my site is not a private one; i do have the option to invite people, and this has previously worked. The issue is that is now not working.Further to this, after sending out links to the website via email and individuals registering I have upgraded their account to "writer" status. Again, they are not receiving email notifications of this change of status. Again, this has previously worked but is now not. FYI, the permissions on the site are: Everyone can view your website, but only writers can edit or add pages to it. Anyone who joins your site can post threads. Maybe this is not a invite required site? Also, this thread is meant to be watched, but no email notification of the updates was recieved... thanks for the help Do you find this valuable? |

Sorry, I believe there was a misunderstanding. You said you were a moderator on an 'invite required site,' which is what Private Sites are. If your site is public, the reason invites aren't working is because there's problems with Wetpaint's email system. Many people aren't getting notifications, and emails for things like invites and password resets are not being sent out.-Cameron 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
