In my 2012 California Race Tracker, I created a new page for the 1st State Senate District (http://2012californiaracetracker.wetpaint.com/page/Senate+District+01), and no matter what I do, it refuses to move out of uncategorized. Please help!!! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

It's a bug with Wetpaint that has been around for a long time. Chances are, the page is not uncategorized, but it is saying that is so. You may want to leave the site for an hour or so, and give the database time to update, rather than continiously try to move the page, which means the database will have to keep updating itself. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Your psot has two issues. The first concerning uncategorized pages.is answered by previious replies in this thread. The second concerning copy and paste. The original document you are copying will determine what is pasted. Many documents have hidden codes behind them, such as a MS-Word document. The hidden codes will not be interepreted correctly wnen building the HTML code for the text to be placed on your wiki page. Same holds true for copying from some Websites.

The solution to the problem you are experiencing is to copy the text and paste it into a text editor such as Notepad first. A text editor will strip away any hidden codes and display raw text. You can then copy all of the text from the text editor and paste it onto your wiki page.
