Using an image / link inside of comment
Feb 8 2011, 6:41 AM EST | Post edited: Feb 8 2011, 6:41 AM EST
Can a moderator please inform me on how to do this, preferably in a personal message?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't have the time to look.
Do you find this valuable?

Actually, this is a secret which is already too widespread. The reason it is kept secret is because spammers and such can use it to their advantage, by putting things like redirects in threads.

We try to avoid telling people, in case it does indeed fall into the wrong hands.

I understand your reasons for keeping this a secret, which is why I asked for the 'secret' to be sent via personal message.

My only intention was to create a link inside the comments that could be clicked on by users, which would be easier and faster than forcing my users to copy and paste the url into their address bar.
I would only use it on websites I created, and would avoid the use on all other websites, including Wetpaint Central.

I doubt I'd use it often, but it would be nice to offer a direct link to my forums, which are hosted on my personal domain. (Non-Wetpaint)

Plus, I've been an active Wetpaint user since 2007, and I have no intention of leaving this platform any time soon. Unless Wetpaint wishes to close its' Wiki platform, in which case, I'd be forced to leave. :)

I have no intention of creating redirect loops or pop-up advertisements, just a simple link to make the site easier for my users.

If you still wish to deny my request, I completely understand your reasons. However, I do hope you consider it.

Yeah, we really cannot tell anyone. I've known you on Wetpaint and trust you, but once you start, someone else is gonna wanna know, then someone else, then they are asking us, and then maybe a spammer gets their hands on it, so we really can't. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks for the reply. Someone has already informed me on how to do this.

Also, I will only be posting links, nothing to obvious / serious.
