Account hacked?

I have been receiving emails stating that a member has made changes to the site (on a page I am monitoring). Also, one member received a message purportedly sent by me. It was addressed to this member in two different email addresses, one of which I never use (it was a Yahoo email address).I have checked this wiki and we are still the only two members, and it shows no messages. What is going on 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Anne, you have two wikis, one public and one private. Since you mentioned the site only has two members, I would assume it is the private wiki you are referencing. Wetpaint emails that are sent when the opted monitoring has changed, in your case a watched page and messages sent to you, only contain the reciever's email address and wetpaint's address as the sender. When you state that a member received two different emails from two different sender's email addresses one has to assume you are the sender with two different email addresses. This cannot happen with Wetpaint wikis. Only the receiver's address is shown in the email. You also have a Twitter account. Could the other member be receiving emails from your Twitter account via your Yahoo address? You think your account has been hacked. Has there been any indication of why a hacker would hack your account on Wetpaint? A page was changed on your wiki. Was the change destructive? If no signs of abuse, I wouldn't worry about it. Do you find this valuable? |
