Is there any possible upgrade option for removing the 40 file attachment limit?

Nope. Sorry. There is only 40 attachments allowed on a site. Do you find this valuable?

Are most of the files you need to attach Word, Excel, or PDF documents? If so, instead of attaching these files to the site, you might want to consider uploading the files to a service like DocStoc.com or Box.net. You can then embed the documents directly onto a page of your Wetpaint site as a widget. This will make the documents much easier to find and more readily accessible to your site’s members.
