Wetpaint really should change the cancel membership feature to where, if you're a creator, you can keep your position when you come back, that way, if you are hacked and they cancel your membership, you don't have to become an Admin.I also think this is a good idea because there could be a possibility that you thought you trusted someone of your site, and when you made them an admin, they banned you because you are now and admin (thanks to cancelling your membership) and admins can ban other admins, but an admin cannot ban a creator. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. I agree with you..its an easy way to hack onto someone elses wiki. I would like a "cool off" button added as well. Sometimes someone who is usually well behaved goes of the rail a few times and they might need to take time out for a week or two. Banning is sometimes an over kill.

That is why I made myself a "Creator Account" and an "Actual Account". That way, if I wish to change my username but cancel my membership, I can easily cancel my "Actual Account" and make a new one, while my "Creator Account" keeps the Creator position so that, if an admin I thought I trusted DOES ban my "Actua Account", they cannot ban my "Creator Account", which means I can ban them, unban myself, and fix the site back to normal all over again. However, there are still hackers who hack into Creator accounts and cancel their memberships... Wetpaint really should do something about this, if you ask me. :/ Do you find this valuable? |

I agree. It seems like wetpaint makes it too easy for a hacker to take over a site. Also, bellswebster If you want someone to "cool off" for a week or 2, just send them a message telling them what you're doing (and make sure they get it before you ban them) and then ban them for however long you want. You can unban people. Do you find this valuable? |

__This goes hand-in-hand with my “transfer Creator” suggestion; Then the Wetpaint staff could override a hack by effectively nullifying it. You hack someone’s account, username Wetpaint (I think Green_Arrow usually hands this) can promote “you” back to Creator status.

The Wetpaint account is handled by Jeremy most of the time, since I believe Green_Arrow was laid off.

Jeremy has said on another thread that they aren't working on new features for here at the moment. I'd rather the sites problems were fixed first.

I doubt they will make any new features. They are too busy paying attention to the Entertainment part of Wetpaint.

"The Wetpaint account is handled by Jeremy most of the time, since I believe Green_Arrow was laid off."__I was not aware of this change… Anyways, someone should b able to promote someone to “Creator” and demote Creators (upon their own request). While they’re at it- It would clear up a lot of server space if ‘inactive’ sites (ones that were created, then abandoned) were deleted outright. Do you find this valuable? |

That's actually a pretty good idea, Anders.I think the Creator should also be able to promote someone to "Co-Creator"! Do you find this valuable? |

Why? It sounds good enough, but why give someone the title of 'Creator' if they didn't actually CREATE the site? Why not name the position 'Owner', instead?
