SITE AND MEMBER ABUSE. please help.

i'm only posting this, because i've been talking about this with my friend, but her computer won't let her post this for some reason, so i'm posting it for her. thanks.from wolflovar: ok, my best friend made this site called: www.knotoffriendship.wetpaint.com she did it just for fun and friendship, but sooner or later two of the people started to be rude, saying nasty suff to us like we shouldn't be on it etc. The creator tried banning the two, but one came back, because apparently he has a friend on the admin or mod team, but no one knows who. But anyway, they came back and I came onto the site to check on it when I saw that they out rude pictures all over the site and no matter how many times we try to ban them, they keep coming back and sending us rude messages, saying how we wh-res and such. They also made a fake page saying inappropriate stuff that my friend has no clue on what its about. I suggest they should be IP-banner as this is completely intolerable. Also, this two member made a site, which is basically EXACTLY like knotoffriendship. http://wild-fantasia.wetpaint.com/ They even stole layouts, mostly old ones and banners i think as well. Do you find this valuable? |

I as a parent, would not stop with just Wetpaint providing a solution to the problem. I would request the ip address of Zum-m and report him to your local police departments Internet Crime Task force. I would bring charges against him for corrupting the morals of a minor.

If you have continuously been banning this user and they keep coming back, then you may want to request that WPC do an IP ban instead. This blocks the user from ever returning on that address and this is what stops most hackers and such from returning

All computers, or things with internet like iPod Touches, have what is called an IP Adress. It is like your home adress. Everyone has one. When Jeremy, or another Wetpaint staff member, bans that User's IP, as MadHatter explained above, it denies access to whatever site they were IP banned from and never allows them back again. There are ways to get around IP Bans, but I shall not say anything on that matter because if you get IP Banned, don't blame Wetpaint. Blame yourself.There is another banning method called a Global Ban. When Jeremy, or another Wetpaint staff member, Globally bans a user, they ban the user's username from EVERY site on Wetpaint, and the user can no longer sign into their account. It's like an IP Ban, except with a Global Ban, you can't come on Wetpaint with your username anymore. This is a banning process, which can not be un-done. There is no un-doing a Global Ban once Wetpaint does it, and that's why they only Globally ban users for either: A.) Being under 13 and on Wetpaint, which violates COPPA Law. I've sent a message to Jeremy about IP banning a few people about a week ago... will he message me back soon? A few users that personally have a problem with me are harassing WCRP, and I just want it to stop.

He has been very busy lately (supposedly) and gets a lot of emails and PMs from users, and doesn't have the time to get to every PM. Sometimes, you may need to message him more than once about it.
