This issue is probably yet another expression of the recent bug that Wetpaint has been suffering about e-mails as a whole not getting sent out at all. It's being currently fixed, but it hasn't happened yet, so you'll just have to be patient.

Again... Information about this should be on the homepage here from a long time ago...

Is there any problem with your original password that you had to try to reset it?

actually i was too impatient as i tried it several times and then just took the easy way in using the reset link as i couldnt wait to get in and join the discussions. that wasnt probably the brightest idea.. but i will try again the next days.
thanks for your quick answer, much appreciated!

No problem.
Either way, it's pretty weird that you can't use your original password now... Don't you remember it already? You would have to type it twice to create your account, if I recall correctly, so it shouldn't have been a typing mistake, right?...

yes, i had to type it twice and dont think i did something wrong here and even if i did then there should be the reset email...i just went to sign up again and there it also says "a user exists with this email address" so also no typo here.
however checking the site not one member has been active today yet so i'm not sure if this is only a problem for me.

This bug should have been fixed. If you will reset your password, it should work.
