My (not-so-important) Suggestion
Dec 29 2010, 11:16 PM EST | Post edited: Dec 29 2010, 11:16 PM EST
I can name four "Styles" that are the exact same but with different colors; "Cerulean", "Deep Red", "Meadow Green", and "Peach".

However, I noticed another difference. This difference is with Table Borders. While "Meadow Green" has a "matching" border (it's Green), "Cerulean", "Deep Red", and "Peach" have black borders.

My suggestion is, well... For "Cerulean", give it a Cyan Table Border, for "Deep Red", give it a Dark Red Table Border, and for "Peach", give it a Pale Orange Table Border.

Your suggestion is well warranted, along with more styles. It has been a long time since the request for different styles has been made. Up to now, they haven't arrived. The suggestion list is just for show at this point in time (imo).

You can do a lot with tables to set your page apart from the boring. Cell and table border colors can be changed. The use of columns and rows imaginatively can bring out an entirely different look. The use of repeating graphics can make a table stand out.

Check out these two site pages and the sub pages to see examples and instructions on how to spruce up tables.

Another cool thing one can do is actually make their own colors for a table boarder. This requires you to create a table that pixels are set to "1". Fill the cell with the appropriate color, and then add another table (this time with whatever cell margin you'd like) into the 1 pixel cell. Pretty easy and the best way for maximum results.
