Firefox 4.0 beta 7

Is there a reason that this version is not compatible with WP. I have not run into any problems with it and for the most part use many of the features of WP (except RSS and Newsfeeds). I would like to know what areas are disfunctional. Any light on this matter will be greatly appreciated. The graphics acceleration offered by version 4 is the best on the net.Thanks in advance. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

It still has trouble with the Layout Zones. I did not want to list it as Supported and then have a bunch of people complain.I am using Beta 8 right now and it does work for the most part, but the Layout Zone still doesn't load properly. Do you find this valuable? |

I prefer to use tables instead of layout zones, that is why I never saw the problem. And I agree, beta programs should not be listed as a supported program. Thanks Philip. I listed IE9, however, because it renders Wetpaint almost exactly as well as IE8 did...which is not very well to be sure, but still the same.Glad to be of help. Do you find this valuable? |

Right click on any page in a wiki, even this one and select View Page Source and you will see that Wetpaint doesn't even look at IE 8 because of its problems. All IE lower than 7 are rejected and above 7 are treated like it was IE 7. So 8 does not actually render 8 code, but on the contrary, they render the code that is 7 compatible produced by WP. I have no idea what they do with 9.Wetpaint's Code: Render IE8 like IE7 --> equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" /> Do you find this valuable? |

EasyEdit mode in IE8/9 is very funky. All the tables extend off into infinity and whatnot and make it difficult to edit. That's why I end up using Firefox all the time unless I am doing some specific stuff with tables that Firefox tends to have difficulty with.At least you can edit with them though, but for Layout Zones I go back to Firefox 3.6.x Do you find this valuable? |

As of today, I am no longer experiencing the Layout Zone issue with Firefox 4 so I have moved it to the Supported browsers list.Just an FYI, I am using Minefield b8 so starting with Firefox 4 beta 8 next week, the layout zone bug should be fixed. Do you find this valuable? |

One minor, annoying, little bug with Firefox 4, that being the page not completely loading until you click on the page in EasyEdit mode, has now been fixed in Beta 9.
