Search box down in 2010?

Does anyone know when the sites are going to be crawled by the spider? It seems that site search boxes haven't been operating properly in at least 6 months to a year? In other words, if one key word searches for a term (that has its own page or at least a mention in a sentence or paragraph), that exists in the site, that was added in 2010, the search engine will return a "no result"? I'm guessing since WP cut its staff, they also cut budget spending on spider indexing? Do you find this valuable?

Its the same when you are searching for a photo album..you know its there, but when you type the name in it doesn't come up and you have to look through a hundred albums to find it. Do you find this valuable?

I'm having the same problem with the site I'm working on. The one I'm working on is for a school's library. We add book title and author tags to most pages (including a page to show each month's new books) and if a search is done for a keyword that is tagged on multiple pages, the search doesn't show any pages after about May 2010. to the best of my knowledge, this seems like the best possibility, either that or a virus or malware even though the site said it itself that they make sure that thier website is virus free, otherwise i don't know what it is

Do as I posted above and ask for your site to be re-indexed.

I sent WP an email, but so far no response. To take matters into my own hands, I started a search box for my site using FreeFind.com, as explained in the "bug section", on the home page:

http://www.eoht.info/

It indexed about half the site for free, which is better than nothing.
