Inbox (1) ??????

On a websitePokeearthparadise.wetpaint.com (rlly awesome :D) It says I have a message but I dont. No friend requests, no compliments, nothing. I was trying to deal with it but it got really annoying, and I kept checking to see if I got a new message yet....... 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

You might want to look past page one. Since the system got fixed, all messages that were not sent during the problem(s), was sent and placed where it should have been placed, had it been sent.

If Wetpaint Central, you should have recieved a message from Jeremy. If you're new to Wetpaint, make sure you didn't register with a fake email by going to Inbox and seeing if it asks for you to update your email. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Umm, I have this issue for me on my site, bookshelffantastica.com. It says I have a message, and I was missing a message, but I didn't get the message yet and it still says I have one.

You are going to need to change your email address that you inserted for your Wetpaint Account. This isn't a message, but it's a way of letting you know to change your email address. Wetpaint will send you important news updates to the email account that you entered when you made the account. If you entered a false email address, you will need to change your email account to a real one for the message to go away. Even if you have that option set, you still have to change your email. Wetpaint needs to have an accurate email to verify if your account is your account. Without an accurate email, they will have trouble doing so. The only way for that "Inbox (1)" is be removed is to change your email to a valid email. Otherwise, that message will remain. If you don't mind the message being there, don't change the email. If you want the message gone, you are going to need to verify your account with a valid email address.

What do you mean a valid email address? I have one. I don't check it, it is a junk mail account, but the email address isn't made-up.

Take a screenshot of your inbox and post it on the Photo Gallery at Wetpaint Central. If the message hasn't gone away, this problem surprises me. Have you checked through all your messages to make sure you didn't miss one? Maybe one is hiding within the deep depths of your inbox. If you can't find the message, please post a screenshot of your inbox so I can further examine the problem.

Thanks, I'll post one. Yeah, I was missing a message from the virus, because it was a group message. I got the message after that, so I was able to read the message, seeing it was addressed to me, but it never showed up in my inbox, even after the virus. So I still have Inbox (1). I'll post soon.

A few friends and I have the same problem. I have done the email, clear cookies, looked through all my messages and it remains there.

A few years ago, my friend had this same problem. However, this was late 2008. If those solutions you've stated above do not correct the solution, it maybe a bug. In late 2008, it was a bug. This could be a re-occurring bug. If it is a bug and there's no solution to it, I'll report it to Jeremy.
