Two administrators and Email

A colleague and I both need to be administrators of one of my Wetpaint sites. I am the creator, but is it possible for us to be sent emails to approve writers?

Thank you.

Being the creator and an administrator is basically the same. Of course there can be only one creator, but then this creator (you) can assign any members you want as administrators to assist you. You'll all have the same permissions on the site, which is basically to change anything you want except delete the whole site.

In order to promote a member to administrator status, the creator (or a similar administrator) must go to that member's profile page, click on the "change permissions button", chose "administrator" in the window that pops up and confirm.

As for writer status, if I understand your question, it only matters if your site is set to "invite-only", because then only members promoted to writers can create and edit pages.

Thanks for trying to help, Losa78. I have already made my colleague an administrator. I need to know if we can have emails for those students who want to be writers sent to him as well as to me. Currently, since I am the creator, they just come to me.

Writer request notifications should be automatically sent to all site moderators, admins, as well as the site creator. I'm an admin on this site and I get them everyday. Do you find this valuable?

This is true. They are sent to all moderators, admins, and creators. I know this because back in 08 when my website had the writer option, moderators received the notifications.

Thank you! I'll let him know that and we'll see how it goes!
