It is most likely because your site is Private. To invite members, go to Permissions under Settings and select Public. Send the invites to your friends and keep it Public. Wait until they Join then make it Private again.

I also have this problem and have had it on two wikis that I run. When I go to settings (which would seem natural) there is no option to go to setting just lots of stuff about templates:"Edit and manage the templates for this site below. Publish a template to make it appear on the list of templates when new pages are added. Draft templates do not appear on that list...." This is really stopping me using the wiki effectively. Do you find this valuable? |

If you see only about Templates when you go ot Settings, then you are only a Moderator. To view ALL of the site's Settings, you need to be an Administrator or up.
