I don't know what to do about this, can you guys help? I don't exactly know where to put this either.My friend's website was MAJORLY copied by another website and they put OUR content on it TODAY. My friend's had it since last MONDAY. Also, this girl keeps saying everything on OUR website it hers when she NEVER had it on her website. I put many things up saying, 'Please don't copy' and she doesn't even listen! That's terrible! I'm going to be doing a lot of work for a site soon and most of that will be art, so if I do two years of work, I would be devastated to see that someone would stoop low enough to just take it! Hmm... just an idea... maybe you could get together a group of people to post comments like "this website is a fraud", "Find the original at <link>" "this site is fake" "media thief!" Things similar to that on the person who copied your friend's website's home page. Or you could get the content copyrighted, because I don't think copyrighting something is all that expensive, believe it or not. I don't think you can do too much about media theft if it's not copyrighted. But stealing is just plain wrong in any form.

Can you imagine a photographer lying in the snow for eight or nine hours waiting to capture that perfect picture of a wolf? Then to have someone put some simple text over the photograph and put it on their wiki and claim it to be their work. It is just plain stealing. At least give some credit to whom the photographer was. Do you find this valuable? |
