Typing in all Caps is considered Internet Shouting, which I think is what you were trying to get across, but really is unnecessary. Part of the reason the Wetpaint 500 was taken down was due to the reason it got over competitive, people were trashing other sites to make theirs look better. It was put on the record that a new system was going to be put into place in the sometimes distant future, although no actual date has been set or given.

Another reason the Wetpaint 500 was deleted was because threads discussing the Wetpaint 500 would clog the forums here. All these posts would create unnecessary clutter, making it harder for users to receive answers to their desired questions. Wetpaint Central is a helping forum, not a competition discussing forum. There is a new system being put into place, as Shadowmlb mentioned, but Jeremy hasn't given a set date for the release of the system. Currently, Wetpaint is very busy at work, so I don't expect the system to be released anytime soon.

The Wetpaint 500 was essentially replaced by the TV FanDex and the Top Sites lists, which can be found on the Wetpaint home page.

STILL!! Do what I did on my site and make an ended threads category. Why delete something that cool, or moreover, why even bother making the stupid thing in the first place. My site was up there and we loved it! People being over competitive is THEIR problem, not MINE! And, it's taken all the fun out of it, nobody can even FIND eachother's sites now. I'd be lucky if my site got one new member a year cause of your O'so'Perfect NO ADVERTISING policy. How the heck will my site get known HUH? Got any ideas? (P.S I know caps is shouting in internet launguge, that's WHY I was doing it.) Do you find this valuable? |

personally I also agree. The wetpaint 500 was the exciting thing to do on Wetpaint 500, and my site died after it was taken down :'( Do you find this valuable? |

Well, with the newest release, that is focused around only the TV sites the Wetpaint staff has made, (not wikis) I agree with these guys now. Wikis that are not TV related need to be recognized too. Not just the TV fan sites.I mean, we have Role Play sites, Anime sites, Literature sites, even Warrior Cat sites! We want a way to get noticed, so people can find our sites. Do you find this valuable? |

Not just the TV fan sites.Thank's for that btw. I appresiate it as I'm sure the OTHER people who replied do too. I mean, why do only the BIG TV sites get noticed huh? What about the RPs? And the Fan sites? If other people don't like the compeditivness then they don't need to look at the site rankings and can just PLAY. But some of the sites just die because of the lack of advertising. If you want to keep people really interested (and I know a LOT of people have stopped RPing on my site since the killing of the WP500) then BRING it BACK! Do you find this valuable? |

I think what their saying is true. Why did the Wetpaint500 get deleted?I also do not think it is right that that person should not be banned, for wanting wetpaint 500 back. And yes. I want it back also. I would not like to quit wetpaint. But I don't like how the moderators treat thier users. Do you find this valuable? |

Actually, computers in the same house cannot have a separate external IP address, unless you have multiple DSL or Cable connections to the internet, which is very rare in a home setting. You are more than welcome to create a non-Wetpaint website of your own, however, you do not have the right to break the rules here on Wetpaint Central. This is your first warning for flaming.
