i am in partnership with my grandson and would like to know how to get my site on to google Do you find this valuable?

You should start off by adding it to google here:
http://www.google.co.uk/addurl/

You need to think about your competition etc. for the keyword/keywords you are targeting in Google. Instead of trying to compete for the keyword 'Golf' in Google you should try 'Vintage Golf Clubs'. There will be less competition and it will be easier to get to number 1.
