There's a giant problem with the member's only option

no one can join? -seriously, that screws everything up. I'm trying to make a resource with member's phone numbers, but I don't want just anyone to be able to see them, only members. So I try making the site members only, but then it says no one can join like that!
Is there any way around this? -if not, someone at Wetpaint should really do something because this cripples the utility of a wiki, not being able to add new members.
thank you,

Hi Anthony,
Invite to private sites was dropped last year due to the double amount of work it took to test/add new features. Wetpaint was going to drop the private site feature entirely but decided to leave that feature. The way to invite new members to your wiki is to temporarily change the wiki to a public site allowing the members to join. This would defeat the protection of your resource and expose your member's phone numbers.

Splats2, my wiki, can show you how to accomplish both adding new members and also to keep your members telephone numbers out from view except for members only. I do not email anyone, so you will have to join my wiki and I will give you instructions there. Leave a thread on the site. Click on the link below to go to Splats2.
