Uploading video

I am trying to upload mpeg videos from my computer to my wetpaint site. Is there a way to convert my mpeg files into a url or embedding code for wetpaint? Or should I continue to look around youtube for all of my videos again? 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

You can't upload videos straight from your computer onto Wetpaint. You have to use a site like YouTube. As for having to run all over YouTube you can simply upload the videos to your YouTube account, go to your channel, and they should be right there and easy enough to find.
The reasons to why Wetpaint doesn't allow you to post videos straight to your site is explained by Kevin in this thread: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/thread/4129809/Upload+your+own+videos...

Yes I can understand how that can be an issue, my school blocks YouTube as well. However, you can try other video sources that your school shouldn't usually block.

Since this is for a school project I may be able to recommend TeacherTube, which is basically like YouTube however used for educational reasons. This shouldn't usually be blocked at your high school, it isn't blocked by mine, in fact some teachers at my school even uploaded videos to TeacherTube. I'm not sure how it works exactly since it isn't exactly a site teenagers are viewing every single day, but you may even be able to upload the videos you had on YouTube.

You would need to add the TeacherTube videos as "Other Widgets" on pages which will be on the bottom of the widget menu, click it and paste the embed code from the video in and add. The embed code will be in the little light blue box to the right of the video where the information about who posted the video is located.

Visit TeacherTube: http://www.teachertube.com/

That's a pity because we made our own video clips but we do not place them on YouTube. We may have to move our site. May be a good idea for the site developers to think about. Uploading from a computer - just limit the size.

It has been suggested by many members to allow this, but, Wetpaint's system doesn't allow it. Even if it did, the video could only be several seconds long due to the size allow for uploading. Wetpaint limits photo size to 500 KB and attachment size to 2 MB. This is to ensure that Wetpaint's servers are not overloaded. As explained in the thread above. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. You might have added it wrong. Either you messed up the coding, or you might have inserted a YouTube widget's code into a Hulu or Google video widget. Make sure the code is correct and that you are not adding a YouTube embedd code as a Google or Hulu code, and vise-versa. Do you find this valuable?

i am careful about that, but it still doesn't let me add them. I know it's not the video though because I can take the same video and put it on one site, it works fine, then the next site, it doesn't even let me paste the code. Do you find this valuable?
