Advertising to my friends e-mail addresses.

I keep getting viruses every time I open facebook. My friends e-mail addresses are getting junk mail from my e-mail address; tons of it. I thought I had chosen not to share my address book when I signed up on Facebook. AOL froze my account for excessive advertising or some such crud. I go on facebook to cancel the whole account and I find people are posting pictures of me on my website. How do I block such things? I could not delete the web page or the pix or anything..........TOO SCARY. Get my web page off your system!!!!! Or tell me exactly how to do it myself. This is causing me much anguish. Please Respond. Do you find this valuable?

Wow, it seems like you got yourself and your friends in a mess.. The problems you have described, Wetpaint cannot help you with. Here is what you need to do.

1. You need to go to Facebook and have them close down your account. They recently had a problem that was known world-wide about a security leak in their address book area.
2. You need to get with a representative of AOL, to restore your account and explain to them you were a part of the address book problem of Facebook. Ask them if they can show you how to configure your email to block spam..Your friend may need to do the same for their email account.
3. As far as your pics and your webpage, again, you need to settle that with Facebook. Perhaps they can direct you on how to setup a secure webpage so you don't get attacked as you did.
