Where is my invite button?

Why can't I invite people to my private site anymore? I'm not allowed to have it public, as it's a game related site and people are only supposed to be able to use it if they ask me in-game... 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Wetpaint dropped support for Invites for Private Sites last year. To let someone join your site, you need to make your site Public, wait until they join, then make it Private again. To do so, go to Permissions under Settings and use the Public/Private settings.

Sigh - that is unfortunate. Do you know why they dropped support? I don't want to have to start looking for a new host, I like it here... Do you find this valuable?
