I need more counseling than tips, but I think this page is the best place for me to post this thread. So here goes . . .

I recently made an RPG site with my friend. We made a lot of pages and were busy editing them when all of a sudden my friend left the site. It's a lot to handle creating it all by myself, plus an RPG site needs members to be really good. I've advertised in probably ten different places but nobody has joined. I've followed all the tips on this page but my site is still at a grand total of one member: me. It's only half-finished and I'm getting discouraged. Should I just give up on the site?

Same thing with my site, I only have about 8 members and it's a really nice RPing site... I've already given up on three because of the lack of members. Should I shut down my site?... I don't have facebook or twitter or any of those accounts. Do you find this valuable?

I've followed all the directions. I got one new member, that's all and I've waited a while, no more. Do you find this valuable?

It might be a better to join one of the many role playing wikis that have already been created. Your site is not likely to attract visitors if it is not original.

I am not modorator but I have some cool tips. First if you want to advertise, you have to ask them to be friends and be friends with them. Then you can ask to join their site, then a while later, ask them to be sister-sites!((That means the members on one site, go on the sister-site!))

Or you can say, "If you join my site, then I'll join your site." That can sometimes work. You can also get some trust in the creator, also have some sense of humor!

My site only has 12 or so active members, but I really don't care! It's full of activness and I am behind on threads since my account got hacked.
