I was wrongly and suddenly banned by forest of trees, the tms wiki.
May 25 2010, 1:01 AM EDT
I was just banned from a site I joined less than 2 weeks ago only because I didn't understand all the technicalities of rules for where to leave your website site on which page and where not to. I was following what everyone else did. All of a sudden after spending days working on my profile, survery response and writing a decription in the therapy list, trying to be of help to others by contributing handouts, I was banned, losing all the material I wrote that I can really use. From the getgo, the moderator was trying to shoo me off the site because I believe that Dr. Sarno's work was from the orientation of mindbody medicine and the moderator believed it was from the orientation of conventional medicine but that should not be a reason. I feel that I was degraded and abused and I am very upset to lose my writings that I contributed on the site without pre-warning. This moderator, Forest of Trees had it in for me from the start. I feel violated! Can you help me here? The technical reason for being banned was because I put in my website on the practitioners list following what everyone else did. What is the point of a practitioner's list if you don't have a website or contact info on it? I wrote a short description of who I am like everyone else. Is there anyway to complain about being mistreated and degraded like this? The moderator's interactions with me were hostile and distrusting on many counts. I almost feel that he was anti-semetic because I live in Israel and Jewish. Its a common problem. I did not vandalize the site, Gd forbid. I only was helpful to sufferers of TMS and appropriate. I may have not understood all the many rules Forest of Trees had, but I even told them that its alot of rules and I probably won't understand them all at first as I am new to the site so simply correct me with your many writers. Instead I was suddenly banned. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Unfortunately, the Moderators at Wetpaint Central to do not power on any other Wetpaint Website. So, we cannot help you. However, I would suggest talking to Forest Of Trees, trying to explain your side of the story. If Forest of Trees will not listen to you, I would try contacting another moderator or administrator of the website. Explain to them how you feel and perhaps they can help you out. We cannot do anything to help, however.

I am unable to contact anyone else on the site because when I try to go onto the site, it doesn't let me and it says "unauthorized:. Forest of Trees wont see reason to having me back on the site, but he keeps all my writings there! In addition, it says loudly and clearly that I was banned. One of my TMS Therapy clients came onto the site because before I was banned, I recommended the site to my clients, and this client was surprised to see that I was banned from the site. It made me look badly in the eyes of my client. I would like to know whether there is a higher authority at this site for things that happen. If there are rules and standards of which I got kicked off for, then who is enforcing those wetpaint rules? How can I get Forest of Trees to remove my presence from the site (or allow me back on) - but one or ther other. I appreciate your response and thank you very much for your efforts, Shoshannah Sarah Do you find this valuable? |

Hello, what my good friend is trying to say is contact them possibly on another site if available. Now that you are banned you won't be able to access the site with the banned account. Since the site isn't private, I would just create a new account and message the creator to see what is going on. Someone may have banned you for no reason, who knows really. Just create an account with bogus information and password you can remember, after you find out what you need to know you probably won't need the account anymore. Do you find this valuable? |

You'll need to sign out of your regular account before re-joining. Otherwise, you'll just see the unauthorized error. If ForestForTrees doesn't want you back, however, don't persist. That kind of behavior can earn you an IP ban from Wetpaint sites. Do you find this valuable? |

As I said before, you need to sign out of your Wetpaint account before you go to the Wiki to rejoin. ForestForTrees is under no obligation to remove your contributions from the Wiki per the Creative Commons License, as described in section 7 of the Wetpaint Terms of Use Agreement: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/terms In fact, ForestForTrees details this policy on the TMS Wiki: http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/How+is+the+TMS+wiki+%22owned+by+all+TMSers%3F%22 Do you find this valuable? |
