Moderator to Moderator on sites

I think moderators on a site might be well advised to keep each other informed when banning or unbanning members. Recently, a moderator unbanned a member several weeks after the ban.the member had been abusive - with many complaints to (and BY me) and I wasn't told about the unbanning - I found it out by accident. It made me feel superfluous and insignificant. the abuser had been banned by the above mentioned moderator to begin with. when I asked her about it, she said "some new information had surfaced" and so she unbanned him, but did not share any more with me - even though I had been involved in the complaints from members, as well as having been abused by the member myself.

I believe she is an excellent moderator and I am not trying to cause trouble -- I am seeking opinions or advice on how moderators might communicate with each other in a more productive way, and specifically not leaving another moderator out of the loop as I was, resulting in me losing some respect in the general wiki community.

Suggestions?
Thanks

Well, you could post threads on their profile. Have the titles say: 'Banned' or 'Unbanned' and in the message part, tell why they are, or are not. You can also tell them to PM all Moderators when a member is banned or unbanned and have them tell all of the Moderators why they are banned o unbanned. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank you, that is a great idea! so far I am too chicken to use it with this moderator .... she has 'friends at the top' of wetpaint central ... yet another member did explain why that other member was 'unbanned'-- and apparantly he lied to the mod -- so no wonder she doesn't want to tell me! ;-)

I intend to use your advice after a while, as things cool down... gracias!
