many new members unable to add profile photo

Hi there ... I'm an admin at http://supernaturalfanwiki.wetpaint.com/, and we are finding that many new members have no link on their new profile pages to click on to add a profile pic. Is this a known glitch? And why might it only happen on some new profiles? I'll be happy to round up member page links for you if you need to check them out individually. Thanks ahead of time for your help!

Are you sure they aren't simply following the steps incorrectly? Do their usernames contain special characters or symbols?

Well, as an admin, I can also see the "remove" and "change image" links on all other member profiles. But the new profiles I am referring to have absolutely no way to add a profile image. There simply is no link. We had this happen to one person a while back, and I emailed the wetpaint staff, and then miraculously her "add image" link appeared -- I assumed someone fixed it -- I had hoped it was a glitch on just one profile, but now it is happening to more people. :(

I can't upload a photo to my new profile. I get the pop-up window and button named "browse", but after the photo is selected, then it sits and tries to connect. My photo is 248 KB, so I think it isn't too large.

I've rechecked the size requirement and reduced the size of the photo to what I consider the minimum (44KB) without distortion...still nothing wants to load. I even uploaded the photo to my flickr site and tried to upload that way. That didn't work either.
