You need to report it to the site's Moderators. They will deal with it. We have no power or jurisdiction outside of WPC.

I exactly followed the steps as written on Wetpaint's page: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Sweetheart+Scam Quote: "Someone sent me the Sweetheart Scam. What do I do?" Just ignore the message and ......... Next, report it here on this page in a thread. Put the user's username and the wiki it happened on. Private message Wetpaint Central moderators with the letter from the scammer. Make sure the subject is "Sweetheart Scam." (end of quote) So I posted it here... in a thread... and sent it to all moderators of Wetpaint Central as well... (check your inbox Naru... and IP ban this person) * Do you find this valuable? |

We can not I.P Ban them from your site, but, Jeremy can, for he works for Wetpaint. We WPC Community Moderators, we volunteered to help as a Moderator. I do appreciate that you want to help out... But... I did not ask for help... I reported the issue... as requested by Wetpaint on the page where this thread is attached to... If you did not read what is written on the page... and did not check on our site the account (all details are given in my first post)... and did not communicate with moderators or administrators of Wetpaint about this... then your replies won't make sense... Sorry... I'm capable and do have the rights to deal with it on our site, which I did immediately. Reporting it here was done for the benefit of Wetpaint and all other Wetpaint wikis and members. I know Wetpaint has the tools to ban this Wetpaint account and even the IP, so that this person or organization cannot scam on other Wikis anymore with that same account or IP. If you do not have the power to do that... then leave it to those who can... as all moderators and admins are informed now... Thanks. * 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Excellent Jivanda!!!This is beginning to be interesting how the weptaint admins here don't know their own policy and just like to treat these viral spammers without due regard. Wetpaint has already become more than annoying with the pages being taken over by their advertising clients and now no action on sweetheart spammers, porn and sex solicitors and these types that are now simply joining sites to advertise their products by spamming the membership with their individual agendas. Yes as you said we post here so that Wetpaint Central can make an honest effort on their part to prevent these nuissances and troublemakers from barraging every wiki. Do you find this valuable? |
